Detroit River Tall Ship Outing
for Past and Present Challenge the Wind Sailors
Challenge the Wind past and present sailors were invited to sail on the 77-foot schooner Inland Seas last summer.
This unique opportunity was made possible by the generosity of the University of Michigan’s Detroit River Story Lab.
Participants experienced the river from the decks of a tall ship while learning about the environmental and cultural heritage of our local communities.
Challenge the Wind sailors were the only participating organization on the schooner during this three-hour outing.
